The Cotton Companies is currently in planning and construction for the adaptive re-use of the 201 & 211 13th Street Properties. The proposed development plan calls for mixed-use development retrofitting the existing structures and construction of new 4,000 SF building. The 44,000 SF development will be known as DOGWOOD MARKET.
Dogwood Market will be an epicenter for community and meaningful experience… whether culinary, aesthetic, cultural or relational. Imagine a development, unlike anything Columbus has seen – one with distinctive retail and dining, imaginative experiences and inspired gathering areas… all situated in an interconnected environment blending new construction while preserving the character of vintage buildings on site. Dogwood will reimagine a typical marketplace combining retail, dining, office and unique gathering space across the 1.8 Acre Site. The masterplanned development will have over 40,000 SF of leasable area, to include retail, restaurant and office space and will be available in 2020.
The Dogwood Market combines the past and the present -all while building for a progressive future. The flagship structure was built in 1939 and operated as POPE MOTOR COMPANY for 55 years. As the premier auto garage at the corner of 13th St. & 3rd Ave., the Pope building was an iconic mainstay in Columbus. Adjacent to the site was the 1959 constructed bank building. Slated for repurposing along additional new construction on site, Dogwood Market will open in 2020 – it will blossom from a historic auto garage and bank building into the most attractive epicenter for community experience.
